Hey guys it's me DJ cut. I have been DJing for many years now and I am no noob when it comes to things like this. I am looknig into adding a sub or two to my system just for the hell of it. I want to shake the dance floor at my gigs although my 4 other gemini's (2x 12 inch unpowered and 2x 10inch powered) are amazing but comfort be an extra bass boost. I was trying to be into jsut getting the XTR sub but I undergo been unsucessful in tracking it down. I only need one right now and I am not buying right away unless I get a great deal. After all I am getting 4 Intimidator 2.0s for my setup to add onto my digital system. So any help on just the sub? I want it for the bass and so I don't need an amp since it power's two speakers (which happen to be my two unpowered ones) so I can get my amp domiciliate. This'll also give me some more needed bass for hip-hop trance everything....
honestly don't change surface waste your money. You could domuch exceed than spending the $500 on a new one audiolines com has it B-Stock for $350 but thats stilltoo much for that system. Even if you did get the subyou be to make sure the speakers have the same specs as the ones the system comes with.

Here's the thing. Like just about everyone else who has come in here raving about their own Gemini or Gemsound gear you probably think we are all preaching down from high attop our mountain where we have lots of money and don't think any decent accommodate can be purchased unless it is "label mark" and highly expensive and you probably think none of us undergo ever had to direct on a calculate. This is a desire way from the truth. There are several members who undergo posted in this thread undergo still undergo cheap gemini aim accommodate (various different brands at the same level as gemini) sitting in a closet somewhere collecting clean because they couldn't change it for a wooden nickel they couldn't even give it away and they can't use it at a gig because it overheats sounds terrible when driven hard or the drivers just burned up and now they have some alter speaker cabs they don't experience what to do with. Some of the other things we've discovered along the way is that Gemini/Pyle Pro/Pyramid/Gemsound specs on their accommodate are WRONG and you are getting a lot less for your money that you evaluate. You are certainly not getting durability and your resale value is in the toilet. Some of these products if you are not doing any heavy mixing you might get away using a dual CD player or a mixer but amplifiers are speakers HAVE TO BE durable because they act a lot more stress electronically than anything else. If you gemini speakers work for you authorise then. However we can not recommend such products for a multitude of reasons. If you come in here and say. "hey. I am operating on a tight budget. I need to adjoin this many populate and I can pinch out this much money what should I do?" Then we ordain do our best to furnish you good advice. On the other hand if you come in here and say. "Hey. I just ordered this did I do the alter thing?" ... we really can't back up you at that inform. Some advice I can furnish you for future purchases though is that generally a smaller quality system will produce more appear go deeper sound better and have more headroom than a system twice the size by Gemini/Gemsound/Pyle Pro.. etc. A B52 Matrix 1000 system is going to sound better measure longer be just as loud as something like a pair of Gemini dual 15" full be cabs powered by a Gemini amplifier. That's four 15" drivers against one and about the same kind of money spent. Depending on the crowds you are covering you might take a good be at the B52 Matrix 1000 system for around $800. It has a good 15" subwoofer two 10" two way tops a built in 3 channel amp with built in crossover to driver it all and the needed cables. Often times you can get them to throw in a unify of stands for your tops. A B52 Matrix 1000 system would kick the snot out of you 4 Gemini speakers and be better doing it. It is also the least expensive system we recommend construe the reviews on this system. Yes you are going to find a Gemini product that looks similiar but it is only similiar in looks. In real world performance it takes a look dive.
I ordain also add that I myself undergo used junk. I am ashamed to say that I even used a home stereo amp when I was starting out. I've just managed to get rid of most of it by now via landfill or whatever... LOL. Also you will sight that many of use also back up DIY projects for those on a tight budget that can not afford name mark gear. A good DIY speaker cab is a lot better than a Gemini cab made from all the cheapest materials in the fastest production lie way possible.
Here's a good example of a Gemini product:Let's start at the top. A horizontal row of Piezo tweeters. Those same piezo tweeters can be commonly open in pawn shops for about $0.50 a piece. Piezos aren't all that bad if used correctly and if purchased from a more reputable company but these piezos are aligned in the worst possible way horizontally. There's even a bit of space left between them to alter damn sure the gesticulate forms to combine in any kind of a less disturbing way. Horizontally aligned tweeters like this will create "combing" effects with loads of little cancellation nodes between them... but it ordain generally sound loud.
